摘要: Abstract Ecosystems provide multiple services that are necessary to maintain human life and activities. Agroecosystems very productive suppliers of biomass-related provisioning ecosystem services, e.g. food, fibre energy. At the same time, they highly dependent on respective condition regulating such as soil fertility, water supply or erosion regulation. Assessments this interplay conditions important understand relationships in managed systems. Therefore, aim study is twofold: First, test concept indicators proposed by European Union Working Group Mapping Assessment their Services (MAES) for assessment agroecosystem at a regional level. Second, identify between delivery services. For purpose, we applied an operational framework integrated mapping ecosystems We used assess agroecosystems Northern Germany provision service control rates. existing data available from official databases calculation different indicators. show maps environmental pressures, Federal State Lower Saxony. Furthermore, identified areas within state where pressures high, limited, more sustainable management practices needed. Despite limitations availability, our results positive, negative no significant correlations indicators, Although idea behind MAES general ecosystem, when looking not all - proposed- suitable explain what extent able certain Further research other provided would facilitate identification synergies trade-offs. Moreover, definition reference condition, although complicated anthropogenically modified agroecosystems, benchmark compare information ecosystems, leading better land use policy decisions
