摘要: The aim of this study was to assess the patterns N and P conservation in dominant perennial grasses shrubs across an aridity gradient Patagonia. We analysed leaf dry mass per area, concentrations green leaves resorption from senescing species each life-form gradient. Leaf area concentration did not differ between life-forms, whereas, increasing decreasing were related severity aridity. Perennial showed lower senesced leaves, higher N- P-resorption efficiency than shrubs. In shrubs, N-resorption decreased with while increased On contrary, traits vary These differences life-forms are adaptive significance relevant relation decomposition pathways nutrient cycling studied arid ecosystems.
