摘要: A mode-locked laser employs a coupled-polarization scheme for efficient longitudinal pumping by reshaped diode bars. One or more dielectric polarizers are configured to reflect wavelength having first polarization and lasing second polarization. An asymmetric cavity provides relatively large beam spot sizes in gain medium permit coupling volume pumped bar. The can include collimation region with controlled size insertion of saturable absorber dispersion components. Beam is selected provide stable mode locking based on Kerr lensing. Pulse durations less than 100 fs be achieved Yb:KGW.
