摘要: This study examined the perception of an intended dominant meaning in a mediated message, and effects media framing on undergraduate students beliefs values concerning issues civil liberties, national security, detainees held by U. S. after September 11, 2001. Individuals were randomly assigned to one two groups shown 20:30 minute video taken from actual footage cable network news, re-edited favor either security or liberties perspective. Comparison pretest posttest scores attitude survey revealed statistically significant differences between suggesting changed treatment they received direction framing. Issue importance remained unchanged before treatment.
