摘要: Abstract Surface potential, an important parameter at the interface between water and charged particles (such as clays clay minerals), has a significant effect on number of chemical physical properties particles. The existing theories used to estimate surface potential assume that double layer medium is continuous dielectric depend strong electric field produced by particle charges. In present study, analytical relationships strength potentials were established based nonlinear Poisson-Boltzmann equation examine saturation, then new method determine was proposed. can be determined using derived equations from surface, which calculated charge density. For with density 0.2C m−2, in 0.001 mol L−1 1:1 2:1 electrolytes Gouy-Chapman model respectively −242 and − 121 mV while those respectively-286 -143 mV. above analyses showed that, due influence underestimated for medium. aggregate stability experiments amount released small montmorillonite aggregates different function electrical saturation. approximate −115 mV 3.7%
