摘要: A model is presented in which spiral galaxies only form when t(c) roughly equal to t(f) a hot component of the protogalactic gas. This assumption, along with disk stability criterion, predicts range galaxy masses consistent observation. The nature cooling function for primordial plasma implies that less massive galaxies, more gas must fragment halo preserve t(f). Consequently, survives disk, so disk-to-halo mass ratio increases and hence luminosity. canonical L proportional V exp 4 relation can be reproduced by model, apparent change slope this also arises naturally. In hierarchical clustering scenario, requires all spirals formed at about same epoch. These results support earlier claims much dark matter observed universe baryonic probably during collapse. 38 refs.
