摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the economics of capture CO 2 from an existing pulverized coal-fired power plant. Coal-fired plants are regarded as major emitters pollutants, in particular carbon dioxide. However, coal is still a very attractive fuel because cheap, large, and widely distributed reserves. Increasing efficiency plant will contribute to reduction emissions . But it unlikely that increased alone sufficient significantly reduce emissions. A method dramatically short medium term sequestration presents sensitivity analysis cost captured. In particular, looks at effect improvement solvent performance oxygen separation (O /CO recycle case) overall capturing The provides economic benefits possible reductions two technologies. Preliminary results indicate O combustion process offers greater potential savings over use amine scrubbing.
