摘要: The performance of a rapid immunochromatographic test for the detection Dirofilaria immitis antigens (Speed Diro™; BVT-Virbac, France) was assessed in 49 experimentally infected dogs and 244 naturally animals; 142 102 cats. In dogs, Speed Diro™ showed sensitivity 90.9% with one adult female worm 100% more than worm. Specificity 100%. For Knott PetChek® HTWM PF served as reference methods microfilaremia antigenemia, respectively. All microfilaemic (55/142) were positive Diro™. Importantly, none 21 D. repens positive. results antigenemia compared two in-house tests, SNAP® Witness® Dirofilaria, all three tests specific sensitive comparison to PF. evaluation feline samples, cats examined by echocardiography. Sera from 87 heartworm-infected tested HTWM. equivalent HTWM, 98.9% specificity
