摘要: 1. The absorption rates of L-methionine and L-methionyl-L-methionine (dimethionine) from the upper jejunum lower ileum rat were studied in vivo after different dietary treatments. Rates expressed per unit gut length weight; former was considered to be more satisfactory under conditions.2. treatments either short-term (10 d) or long-term (40–84 d).3. rate methionine increased a restricted intake, high-protein diet high-methionine diet, but decreased protein deprivation. Short-term restriction had similar effect on ileum, though less pronounced latter. dimethionine influenced by changes than that methionine.4. Under all conditions studied, greater when presented as dipeptide equivalent amount free amino acid. This confirms is taken up intact intestinal lumen, it seems likely there are mechanisms mucosal uptake for its dipeptide.
