摘要: In a two-way contingency table, the null hypothesis of quasi-independence (QI) usually arises for two main reasons: 1) some cells involve structural zeros or 2) interest is focused on part e.g., off diagonal cells. Consider Table 1, analyzed by Becker (1990), which cross-classifies independent interpretations sputum cytology slides lung cancer. Since tend to agree, most observations lie and independence rejected. The QI cells, i.e., that are given they differ, considered. However, sparseness off-diagonal causes concern about validity using asymptotic tests, an exact conditional test used.
