Effects of Skin-to-Skin Contact on Autonomic Pain Responses in Preterm Infants

摘要: Abstract The purpose of this randomized crossover trial was to determine the effects on autonomic responses in preterm infants longer Kangaroo Care (30 minutes, KC30) and shorter KC (15 KC15) before throughout heel stick compared with incubator care (IC). Beat-to-beat heart rate (HR) spectral power analysis variability, low frequency (LF), high (HF), LF/HF ratio were measured 26 infants. HR changes from Baseline Heel Stick significantly less KC30 KC15 than IC, more had decrease IC 2 conditions. In LF HF increased dropped Recovery; conditions, no across study phases found. During Stick, higher KC30. all 3 decreased differences found between two Both can stabilize response infants, affected infants’ sympathetic parasympathetic during care. Perspective This showed that has a significant effect reducing pain findings support is safe effective intervention neonatal intensive unit.
