摘要: The limitations of a traditional morphology-based classification Foraminifera have been demonstrated by molecular phylogenetic studies for several years now. Despite the accumulation data, no alternative higher-level taxonomic system incorporating these data has proposed yet. Here, we present new supraordinal based on an updated SSU rDNA phylogeny completed with description major morphological trends in evolution this group. According to system, multichambered orders are grouped two classes: Tubothalamea and Globothalamea. Naked singlechambered possessing agglutinated or organic-walled tests arranged into paraphyletic assemblage “monothalamids”. maintains some multi-chambered calcareous orders, such as Rotaliida, Miliolida, Robertinida Spirillinida, although their definitions modified cases include taxa. representatives planktonic order Globigerinida tentatively included Rotaliida. Textulariida probably paraphyletic. position Lagenida is uncertain because reliable only available one species. separates families, which differ basic chamber shapes, prevailing mode coiling distance between successive apertures. It appears that features correspond better main evolutionary than wall composition structure, both used classification.
