摘要: The status of Muslim women in society is one the most contested subjects academic scholarship for last couple decades. This debate on position and can be traced to 1980s Islamic revivalist movements throughout world. These gave rise political Islam posed severe challenges women‟s rights organizations involved promoting democracy respect human rights, particularly rights. Sisters-in-Islam Malaysia (SIS) Women‟s Action Forum Pakistan champion their respective countries based an framework believe that it not that discriminates against but male-dominated interpretation Qur‟an patriarchal social structures.
