摘要: Although the process of cellular aging is admittedly highly complex, [1] evidence accumulating to suggest that it has a molecular basis and, hence, may be profitably studied through investigations intracellular proteins. Several types modification incurred by proteins residing in systems [2,3] and part relevant research recently been summarized [4–6]. One type an enzyme-catalyzed age-related protein its carboxylmethylation. The cognate enzyme, carboxylmethyltransferase II (EC. 2.1.1.24) (PCMT). [7,8], appears recognize only those which, via biological mechanisms still incompletely understood, [9,10] selected L-aspartate residues have replaced D-aspartate [11,12] and/or L- or D-isoaspartate [13–15]. several reports associating presence protein-bound with appeared, [16–19] there no unambiguous for unnatural isoaspartates either young aged cells.
