摘要: Aims To evaluate the dental health status and toothbrushing behavior among Sana'a University students, to explore any associations with different factors. Methods In this cross-sectional study, of 360 students from dental, medical, literature faculties (120 each) at were examined using Decayed, Missing, Filled Teeth (DMFT) index. Data regarding study field, grade, behavior, parents' education, smoking khat chewing habits recorded. Results Nearly 76% (n = 273) reported regularly brushing their teeth. Excluding fathers' education levels chewing, other factors (faculty, sex, mothers' smoking) significant independent predictors for behavior. The overall mean DMFT score (± standard deviation) was 4.13 ± 3.1, found be adversely influenced by smoking, which explained only 1.1% variance. Toothbrushing, decay score, 10.6% its Khat associated missing an influence 2.9%. filling positively together had 10%. Conclusions The behaviors are unsatisfactory, unequally factors.
