摘要: An empirical Bayesian approach to evaluate the safety impact of highway projects at a group sites level was developed. Rural traffic accident data from state Indiana were used. The methodology illustrated using examples wedge and resurfacing projects. results indicated that activities did not have significant effect on expected number accidents or rates 95% probability Indiana's two-lane rural roads having volumes less than 4,000 vehicles per day.
