摘要: A study was conducted to assess the effect of multiple stresses (thermal, nutritional, and walking stress) on adaptive capability Malpura ewes in terms changes physiological mechanisms blood biochemical changes. The for a period 35 days covering two estrous cycles during summer season (April–May). were randomly allocated into groups 12 animals each, viz., GI (n = 12; control) GII stresses). maintained shed while subjected stresses. heat stress by exposing them 32–44 °C (average 42 °C) RH 12–26 % 6 h from 10:00 16:00 h natural environment. provided with ad libitum feeding restricted feed (30 % intake ewes) induce nutritional stress. Further, forcing walk 14 km spans between 9:00 10:30 h 15:00 16:30 h. Blood collection done at weekly intervals. Multiple significantly (P < 0.01) affected body weight, respiration rate, pulse rectal temperature, sweating tri-iodo-thyronine, thyroxine, cortisol, hemoglobin, packed cell volume, glucose, total protein. findings this experiment provide useful information understand ideal nutrient requirement these adapt such semi-arid tropical environment without compromising production.
