摘要: Osteosarcomas of extragnathic craniofacial bones--those bones the skull excepting jaw bones--are rare lesions, constituting fewer than 2% all osteosarcomas. In our series 21 patients (12 male and 9 female), ages ranged from 6 to 77 years, 10 were in third or fourth decade life. At least six had predisposing conditions: Paget's disease bone three prior regional irradiation three. Most these tumors high-grade most extensive when treated. There 11 osteoblastic, fibroblastic, 1 small cell variant; 2 lesions features resembling malignant fibrous histiocytoma. One tumor, originally interpreted as grade 4 osteosarcoma, was unavailable for variant classification. Surgical removal, irradiation, chemotherapy used treatment, alone combination. Only two survived 5 one died her after 65 months. Almost half within year diagnosis. The long-term survivor years) underwent a radical surgical procedure tumor small; this only patient who low-grade lesion. Because characteristics described, osteosarcoma must be considered distinct disease.
