摘要: Abstract Preservation of biodiversity is one the fundamental objectives conservation. Animal conservation programs, however, tend to be dominated by charismatic vertebrate species. Many parasites are highly specialized, having evolved depend on a single species and may rarer hence more endangered than their specific hosts. The phenomenon coextinction, in which there loss affiliated such as parasites, needs consideration if not fall victim taxonomic chauvinism. Broad-spectrum antiparasitic drugs when used free-living wildlife can have an effect nontargeted wider ecosystem. It also recognized that role play normal functioning host's immune system two coevolved over extended period time. Although concept parasite itself controversial, this further complicated deciding areas medicine it should apply.
