摘要: Rice is known to be sensitive soil water deficit and evaporative demand, with a greatest sensitivity of lowland-adapted genotypes. We have analysed the responses plant relations leaf elongation rate (LER) status demand in seven rice genotypes belonging different species, subspecies, either upland- or lowland-adapted. In considered range potential (0 -0.6 MPa), stomatal conductance was controlled such way that daytime similar well-watered, droughted flooded conditions (isohydric behaviour). A low LER observed same three conditions, small differences between lower than maize. The tendency towards sensitivities upland lowland but smaller expected. conclude are not particularly deficit. main origin drought may its poor root system, whose effect alleviated study presented here by growing plants pots entirely colonized roots all
