摘要: Liver samples of 12 species birds different trophic levels, collected during the period 1998–2000 from coastal areas Campania region, Southern Italy, were analyzed for organochlorine pesticides (OCs), such as dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) and its metabolites, hexachlorobenzene (HCB), γ-hexachlorocycloexane (γ-HCH), aldrin, dieldrin, endrin, seven PCB “target” congeners, IUPAC Nos. 28, 52, 101, 118, 138, 153 180. p,p′-DDE was present in all analyzed, at concentrations ranging 4 to 4504 ng/g wet wt, which much higher than those found HCB, p,p′-DDD. The others OCs below detection limit samples. PCBs bird levels between 6 8431 wt. hepta-, hexa-, penta-chlorinated congeners 180, 153, 118 predominant since, almost species, they contributed more 98% total determined PCBs. No significant differences mean are detected single or grouped according their feeding habits (p > 0.05). However, carnivorous omnivorous insectivorous ones (carnivorous insectivorous). Concentrations significantly < 0.01) 0.001), whereas exhibited 0.01). Marked also (from p 0.05 0.001). Levels generally thresholds known affect reproduction, however, hepatic yellow-legged herring gull (Larus cachinnans), black-headed ridibundus), kestrel (Falcus tinnunculus) far estimated elicit immunosuppressive effects possibly increase susceptibility parasitoses.
