摘要: In this chapter an attempt is made to summarize those models of propagation loss in the field underwater acoustics which have been converted into automated computer code capable being executed by someone other than originator for a wide variety problems. No single model currently exists adequate all applications. This perhaps not surprising considering diversity ocean environment and its boundaries, concomitant fact that acoustic frequencies interest span regime from less 10 Hz greater 100 kHz. As result large number models, each with own domain validity many cases difficult precisely define, developed. Their sheer makes exhaustive summary impossible within these limited pages. Thus it was decided limit consideration purport be solution wave equation found Sect.2.2.1. Fundamentally consider deterministic speed sound only function spatial coordinates. Non-deterministic effects, if accounted at all, are included ad hoc fashion following determination result. Model development work more general problem required progress. However, effort has reached point where “hands off” codes available. due part lack available experimental/ environmental data need larger faster computers.
