摘要: Purpose: This descriptive correlational study explored quality of life for adolescents with type 1 diabetes versus healthy adolescents, and possible influences age, gender, race, metabolic control on health perception the diabetes. Sample: Sixty-nine treated at a pediatric center children's medical in Mid-South 75 their respective parents. Methods: Data were collected using Diabetes Quality Life Instrument Youth, Self-Perception Profile Adolescents, Children's Behavior Checklist (Competence Scales), Functional Status II. Chart data included duration diabetes, insulin dosage, most recent hemoglobin A1c, average A1c over past year. Results: Teens expressed lower satisfaction than controls; females had male counterparts.
