摘要: Computer mediated communication technologies (CMC) encompass information technology, messaging systems (such as chat and instant messaging) desktop conferencing designed to facilitate group work. Prior research suggests CMC adoption fails when it interferes with subtle complex social dynamics of groups. Yet, empirical studies use that explicitly associate behavior design features are largely absent from the literature. Also conceptual tools for detecting describing such behavior. My addresses these absences by closely examining how supports interaction among geographically distributed work Qualitative findings indicate specific characteristics affords increased accountability stimulates or suppress different user Other both exchange (meeting scheduling) well (impression management) users.
