摘要: Abstract. The transfer of a passive tracer in inhomogeneous turbulent flow is investigated. Starting from Lumley's constitutive equation, we derived an expression for the ratio between effective eddy diffusivity K and as function three length scales characterizing local turbulence structure, flux variations inhomogeneities. theoretical predictions one-dimensional case symmetric were validated through comparison with numerical results Lagrangian particle model simulating wind tunnel experiment dispersion lee idealized two-dimensional hill. A qualitative agreement reached evaluation value obtained simulation.
