摘要: Head extracts of workers and mated queens the closely related species Apis cerana A. nigrocincta from Sulawesi, Indonesia were quantitatively analyzed by gas chromatography- mass spectrometry for several mandibular gland components. The amounts many compounds significantly different between both workers. Quantities 10 16 quantified in queen bees differed two species. Of three known retinue pheromone components ((E)-9-oxodec-2-enoic acid (9-ODA), (E)-9-hydroxydec-2-enoic (9-HDA), methyl p-hydroxybenzoate (HOB)), 9-HDA HOB 6 11 worker This quantitative analysis supports hypothesis that are indeed separate / honey bee
