Important Issues in the Drug Treatment of Schizophrenia

摘要: The large body of research demonstrating the effectiveness antipsychotic drugs in treatment acute schizophrenia is selectively reviewed. Research evidence relevant to following issues assessed; indications for selective treatment; characteristics drug responders and nonresponders; high dosage phenothiazine maintenance therapy; benefits risks drugs. Recommendations are made concerning areas psychopharmacologic that require further development.
