摘要: Microbial strains with high substrate efficiency and excellent environmental tolerance are urgently needed for the production of platform bio-chemicals. Bacillus coagulans has these merits; however, little genetic information is available about this species. Here, we determined genome sequences five B. strains, used a comparative genomic approach to reconstruct central carbon metabolism species explain their fermentation features. A novel xylose isomerase in utilization pathway was identified strains. Based on genome-wide positive selection scan, pressure amino acid may have played significant role thermal adaptation. We also researched immune systems which provide them acquired resistance phages mobile elements. Our analysis provides comprehensive insights into characteristics paves way improving extending uses
