摘要: Membrane lipid peroxidation results in the production of a variety aldehydic compounds that play significant role aging, drug toxicity and pathogenesis number human diseases, such as atherosclerosis cancer. Increased reduced antioxidant status may also contribute to development diabetic complications. This study reports end products malondialdehyde (MDA) 4-hydroxynonenal (HNE) induce aldehyde reductase (ALR) gene expression. MDA HNE an increase intracellular peroxide levels; N-Acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) suppressed MDA- HNE-induced ALR These indicate increased levels peroxides by might be involved upregulation ALR.
