摘要: This paper briefly reviews the competition between massive single star and close binary evolution last two decades. The status of evolutionary model is summarized, assumptions simplifications are critically discussed. Using all computations performed since 1970, general conclusions drawn a comparison with presented. Special attention given at behind commonly accepted for mass gainer new accretion proposed. results in combinarion compared observations stars emphasis on HR diagram, number counts, WR stars, SN 1987A, OBN OBC stars.
