摘要: Glial cells that express the chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan NG2 represent an inherently heterogeneous population. These so-called NG2-glia are present during development and in adult CNS, where they referred to as embryonic oligodendrocyte precursors NG2-glia, respectively. They give rise myelinating oligodendrocytes at all times of life. Over years much has been learnt about transcriptional network precursors, several transcription factors from HLH, HMG-domain, zinc finger homeodomain protein families have identified main constituents. Much less is known corresponding NG2-glia. Here we summarize discuss current knowledge on functions each these factor possible compare regulation This article part a Special Issue entitled SI:NG2-glia (Invited only).
