摘要: To identify socioeconomic, demographic and environmental factors that predict undernutrition in adults a Dhaka slum population. A panel survey, conducted between 1995 1997. random sample of households was selected. Socioeconomic, variables were collected monthly by questionnaire nutritional status assessed. slums Bangladesh. total 1097 surveyed during September–December 1996. Body mass index (BMI) less than 18.5 kg/m2. There sex difference with female subjects having significant odds ratio for low BMI compared male (P<0.03). no age males, but there subjects, women aged 30–39 40–49 years the worst (P<0.04; P<0.04). The Beri Bahd area residence had (P<0.001). Deficit situation as self-reported financial Casual wage workers, unskilled dependent self-employed individuals (P<0.005; P<0.003).
