摘要: The ancient practice of applying latrine wastes to agricultural land has maintained soil fertility in Vietnam for several centuries but may be associated with health risks if the are inadequately treated before usage. This study aimed at investigating perceptions and handling practices using as fertilizers a community central Vietnam. Information was collected through structured questionnaire interviews administered 75 farming households, focus group discussions, key informant interviews. majority (64%) households had single vault latrine, possession that low income (chi2= 12.45; p < 0.05). Most (85%) used waste agriculture composted usage (98%). Households often mixed excreta kitchen ashes powdered lime likely increase pH pathogen die-off.
