摘要: Among the many activities of antigen-triggered lymphocytes may be control fibroblast function. Thymus-dependent challenged with specific antigen, dinitrophenylated ovalbumin or tetanus toxoid produced a nondialyzable factor(s) capable causing dermal fibroblasts to undergo DNA synthesis. These fibroblasts, which exhibit basal proliferative levels in absence serum, responded lymphocyte factor maximal thymidine incorporation at 48 72 hr. In addition, these activated significantly increased their production protein both collagenous and noncollagenous types. This increase synthesis preceded proliferation. Thus, fibroplasia consisting numbers collagen deposition associated chronic inflammatory diseases direct consequence antigenic challenge.
