摘要: Purpose When wearable and implantable devices first arose in the 1970s, they were rigid clashed dramatically with our soft, pliable skin organs. The past two decades have witnessed a major upheaval these devices. Traditional electronics are six orders of magnitude stiffer than soft tissue. As result, when integrated human body, severe challenges both mechanical geometrical form mismatch occur. This creates an uneven contact at interface soft-tissue, leading to noisy unreliable data gathering body’s vital signs. paper aims predict role that discreet, seamless medical will play personalized health care by discussing novel solutions for alleviating this exploring developing commercializing such devices. Design methodology/approach Since factors biology cannot be changed match those devices, conformable mimic shape properties body tissue must designed fabricated. These imperceptible interfaces. Such interfaces can help scientists practitioners gain further insights into providing accurate reliable instrument conform closely target areas interest continuous, long-term monitoring while improving user experience. Findings The authors highlighted current attempts mechanically adaptive care, forecast key aspects future biomedical ways which revolutionize how is administered or obtained. Originality/value The conclude perspective on implementing technology practical use, including device packaging, environmental life cycle, privacy, industry partnership collaboration.
