摘要: The majority of data analyses in the empirical sciences that are concerned with humans proceeds at level variables. Typical results relate variables to each other, for example, correlational or regression-type statements. In these analyses, individuals considered random carriers, replaceable without damage by other individuals, also carriers. This type research is known as variable-oriented. It has been shown statements aggregate level, is, variable-oriented statements, rarely applicable individual case. contrast, person-oriented research, person-centered proposes focusing on individual. Analyses differ from procedures customary research. parameters estimated first If generalization goal analysis, aggregation takes place instead raw data. Implications this strategy major. Data need be collected a way different than analysis different, and resulting well. article introduces readers gives two examples configural frequency item response modeling.
