摘要: The Congo forest mouse, Deomys ferrugineus, occurs readily in natural and human-altered habitats the region of Kisangani (Democratic Republic Congo). We studied survival movement patterns D. ferrugineus both habitats. Capture-mark-recapture was used to study effects habitat on rodent life history primary rainforest fallow land. Survival analyses taking into account trap-happiness were conducted using program MARK. Abundance generally low within all our grids, but it lowest land compared rainforest. Numbers reproductively active females captured not different between larger during rainy seasons. Daily movements females, males, smaller showed recapture probabilities vary highly grids years. probability higher than with a difference 0.084 over period four weeks. This is possibly linked abundance main food source (insects termites); however, other explanations are discussed text.
