摘要: This study provides direct and indirect evidence of temporally spatially consistent spawning aggregations for the grouper Mycteroperca olfax. Recently reported declines in population numbers, probably related to targeting by artisanal fishermen, highlight urgent need species-specific management actions Galapagos Marine Reserve, such as minimum maximum landing sizes, importance protecting key aggregation sites with declaration no-take areas establishment total fishing bans during reproductive season.
