摘要: A thin layer of spinifex troctolite occurs in the middle lherzolite unit Mount Ayliff Intrusion, South Africa. Olivine crystals reach 1 cm length, have an aspect ratio up to 20, and lie parallel contact. This is considered be intrusiveinto a pre-existing package cumulates rather than represent which formed at liquid-crystal interface magma chamber. The define planar, not linear, fabric, interpreted indicate that elongated grewin situ were concentrated by flow differentiation as this would produce linear fabric. It suggested texture result crystallization under conditions relatively slow cooling minimal supercooling. Under these growth rate high, whilst nucleation low, producing few large crystals. Perpendicular inhibited absence supercooled zone within boundary layer.
