Early gastric cancer: a clinicopathologic study

摘要: We report our experience, between 1973 and 1989 of 302 patients with gastric cancer in a Dutch general hospital. In 144 (47.7%) them resection was performed. Twenty-eight had early (EGC) (9.3% the entire series 19.4% resected specimens). Multicentricity EGC noted 3 (10.7%). The incidence decreased slightly during consecutive 8-year intervals. There were 16 men 12 women (mean age 64 66 years, respectively). Standard biphasic contrast radiographic studies upper gastrointestinal tract diagnosed or suggested malignancy all but one patient. Endoscopy directed biopsy patients. Twenty-one lesions (67.7%) localized to antral region. Type IIc most frequent (38.7%). 21 intestinal-type 10 diffuse-type by Lauren classification. two periods. All type I IIa intestinal type, whereas EGCs either III. Lymph node metastasis observed 9.7% lesions. lymph increased from 0% mucosal 20% submucosal cancer. overall 5-year survival rate 91.3%: (diffuse 100% 85.7%). 81.8%
