摘要: Streptococcus pyogenes, the group A streptococcus (GAS), is a common human pathogen that causes wide array of infections, ranging from uncomplicated pharyngitis and pyoderma to invasive infections including sepsis, pyomyositis fasciitis, pneumonia toxic shock syndrome. Two nonsuppurative sequelae, acute rheumatic fever (ARF) glomerulonephritis (AGN), are most significant health problems stemming GAS infection worldwide account in large part for intense clinical interest this over years.
