Excitation of atoms in an optical lattice driven by polychromatic amplitude modulation

摘要: We investigate the mutiphoton process between different Bloch states in an amplitude modulated optical lattice. In experiment, we perform modulation with more than one frequency components, which includes a high degree of freedom and provides flexible way to coherently control quantum states. Based on study single modulation, collaborative effect components two aspects. Through double modulations, spectrums excitation rates for lattice depths are measured. Moreover, interference separated paths is shown, emphasizing influence phases when frequencies commensurate. Finally, demonstrate application design large-momentum-transfer beam splitter. The splitter easy practice would not introduce phase shift arms.
