Stereotactic radiosurgery of the brain using a standard linear accelerator: a study of early and late effects

摘要: Abstract Between February 1986 and December 1988, 44 patients were treated with stereotactic radiosurgery using a standard linear accelerator. Twenty one for cerebrovascular abnormalities 23 intracranial tumors. Fifteen of the tumors had received previous radiotherapy. The range doses given by was 1000–2500 cGy. Nausea vomiting occurred in seven within six hours treatment. incidence symptoms correlated dose radiation to center (area postrema) median postrema symptomatic being 618 cGy compared
