摘要: The proposed rail transit system, Section A-140 of the Southern California Rapid Transit District, consists two cut-and-cover stations and approximately 1.5 mi twin bore tunnel. Along alignment are numerous structures many whose foundations rest above invert tunnels or adjacent to station excavations. Consideration is given protection along route. influence zones for tunnel mining excavation, based on design criteria, available literature, past experience, established. Next, settlements buildings within zone predicted compared with estimated allowable settlements. Those exceed thereby identified. Technically sound economically feasible underpinning methods considered those settlement exceeds settlement, most effective scheme each structure. Finally, current project status briefly outlined.
