摘要: Abstract Globally, food and animal feed contamination with mycotoxins is one of the most important challenges affecting human health. Zearalenone a non-steroidal mycotoxin estrogen-like activity that has been reported to induce reproductive dysfunctions including polycystic ovary in women. The aim this study was assess possible impact prolonged low dose zearalenone (0.1 mg/kg b.w.) exposure increase risk developing rats. We found increases plasma insulin, glucose, testosterone, progesterone luteinizing hormone levels, while estradiol level reduced. also incited tumor necrosis factor-α secreted frizzled-related protein-4 expressions. Histological examination showed atresia follicles treated group. It concluded intoxication intensely manipulates hormonal factors gene expressions related rats, thus its progression.
