摘要: Abstract Electricity is a vital component in the development of societies and industrial progress. The growing demand environmental degradation from current sources forces us to search for alternative methods generating it. use biogas generated landfills enables recovery remaining energy waste reduces problems caused by burning coal, oil, natural gas. Certainty generation projections required an source be considered useful. usefulness power depends on accurately estimating amount possible generation. Considering this uncertainty, objectives research were (a) determine methane rate ( k ) potential L 0 ), (b) estimate final disposal sites (FDS) two urban communities rural Baja California, Mexico. To constants used models, following experiments performed: characterisation studies, observations characteristics performance FDS, (c) interviews with managers (d) IPCC model parameters. Predictions utility made using modified Mexico LFG Model Version 2.0 proposed SCS Engineers. results show that averaged 0.0429 yr −1 was 68.69 m 3 /ton. In period 2013–2030, there will 760492.8 MW/h (USD $142.21 million). reduction CO 2 e emissions would approximately 5.2 MtCO during same $57.16
