摘要: A number of viruses have been implicated as being the cause various forms myositis, including acute transient chronic polymyositis, and dermatomyositis. However, juvenile dermato-myositis (JDM) has remained elusive. Our study serum samples taken within 4 months onset disease in 12 children with JDM showed that 83% had detectable titers complement-fixing (CF) antibody to 1 or more coxsackie B viral antigens. Detectable were found only 25% age-, sex-, date-matched control sera from 24 patients rheumatoid arthritis (JRA), 2,192 “normal” who hospitalized because syndromes. Titers CF B1, B2, B4 positive 58%, 50%, respectively, patients. In matched JRA controls, respective values 8%, 13%, 8%. There no significant antiviral differences results tests for 13 other antigens, hepatitis surface antigen, Mycoplasma pneumoniae antigen patient compared sera. When neutralizing determined, 67% B4, B5, whereas 16%, 26%, 21%, controls 3 These data suggest host response virus might be related pathophysiology JDM.
