¿Cómo se ha medido la posición social en investigación en salud?: una revisión de la literatura internacional

摘要: Social status (SS) is a multidimensional variable that used widely in health research. There no single optimal method for estimating social status. Rather, each case the measurement may vary depending on research subject, base theory considered, population of interest, event interest and, some cases, available information. This literature review develops following topics related to SS measurement, based international scientific sources electronically: i) identification role context epidemiology research, ii) description principal indicators and methodological approaches measure iii) analysis distinct difficulties specific populations such as ethnic groups, women, children, elderly, rural vs. urban contexts. The finally makes it possible describe implications Latin American countries.
