摘要: Background and Purpose— Although the efficacy of aspirin in reducing stroke incidence is clear, its role severity disputed. This study compares between patients who did or not take week before enrollment Trial Org 10172 Acute Stroke Treatment (TOAST). Methods— Of 1275 randomized, 509 reported use stroke; 766 not. Clinical was assessed with National Institutes Health Scale (NIHSS) Supplementary Motor Examination (SME) at trial entry 3 months. Using these scales, we compared categorization (mild, moderate, severe) mean scores users nonusers.
