摘要: Those who provide care at home for a spouse with Alzheimer's disease (AD) endure considerable challenges, including social isolation and increasing caregiving responsibilities. We examine the extent to which an intervention that helps spouse-caregivers mobilize their support network, them better adapt role. used detailed information collected from 200 participating in randomized, controlled trial of enhanced services USA. Using random effects regression models, we found individuals group reported higher levels satisfaction network over first 5 years than those group. Higher emotional support, more visits, having members whom they felt close were all individually predictive longitudinal changes satisfaction. conclude discussion importance psychological respite when caregivers spend days are isolated.
